Prihoda Journal

NEW INSTALLATION

Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, Manila, Philippines

The Philippine Nuclear Research Centre undertakes research and development in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. It also introduces and enforces regulations for these uses to protect the health and safety of radiation workers and the public. Prihoda Fabric Ducting and Diffusers were used to cool the nuclear reactor laboratory where people work. Most of the available airflow distributed through perforations was used to cool the reactor area located at the centre of the laboratory at a height of 4m from the diffuser, while the rest of the airflow reached workers, operating 14m below diffusers, with velocity 0.3-0.4 m/s, so they are still able to feel the cool airstream.
