NUEVA INSTALACIÓN

Al Muthana Pharmaceutical, Amman, Jordan

Prihoda tailor-made air ducting and diffusers are in use at the Al Muthanna Pharmaceutical warehouse in Amman/Jordan at a height of 18 m. Each of the two warehouses has two A/C systems. Only one system is in operation at a time, and the second system serves as back up in case the first system is out of operation. We applied computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to simulate air flow patterns for heating and cooling modes with temperature differences of -9° K (cooling) and +19° K (heating). The warehouse has a very high ceiling, and racks are a major block to airflow, therefore we suggested air distribution with textile nozzles positioned at 180°. Simulations showed that big fabric nozzles would provide a constant temperature and avoid temperature stratification throughout the entire height of the warehouse.
