Walmart, Merida, Mexico

Walmart Inc., one of the largest hypermarkets and department stores chains in the world, has decided to build a huge distribution center in the city of Mérida (Yucatán). After our projects for Walmart in Tampico, Veracrúz, and Mexicalli, this was another opportunity for Prihoda’s fabric ducting. The area of Merida is well known for temperatures that normally reach 35–40 °C and average air humidity of 71 %. We had to consider the climate conditions in our design and suggested a solution avoiding the risk of water condensation on the fabric surface. We have chosen and supplied a cost-saving solution and all seven systems have been functioning very well since.
