From Hlinsko to Vibrant Las Vegas: Prihoda Returns to AHR Expo

Las Vegas is a city that refuses to be ignored. Rising from the Mojave Desert, it’s an oasis of lights, towering hotels, and nonstop energy. Streets pulse day and night, iconic skylines stretch overhead, and every resort seems to compete for attention. The city itself feels like one giant magnet. But from February 2–4, 2026, another kind of spectacle unfolded — less visible to tourists, yet highly significant for the technical world. AHR Expo, one of the largest and most important global trade shows for HVAC systems — heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and building technologies. And once again, Prihoda was there. 

Where the Industry Comes Together

Prihoda regularly participates in the world’s leading HVAC exhibitions — from Acrex India and China Refrigeration to MCE in Italy, ISH and Chillventa in Germany, Interclima in France, and of course AHR Expo in both the U.S. and Mexico. This year, AHR Expo took place in Las Vegas.

The 2026 edition filled multiple massive halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Over three days, more than 53,000 professionals attended, and 1,956 exhibitors showcased their latest innovations. With nearly 579,000 square feet of exhibition space, the show floor was vast — miles of technology, innovation, and strong competition under one roof.

AHR Expo is more than a product exhibition. It is a platform for discussion about the future of HVAC. This year’s key topics included data center cooling, the transition to new refrigerants, evolving regulations, and the growing challenge of workforce development. Many sessions were standing-room-only, reinforcing the Expo’s role as the annual meeting point for the global HVAC community.

A Stand That Drew Attention

In the middle of the busy exhibition hall, the Prihoda booth stood out with clarity and confidence. Suspended above the space was a distinctive circular structure bearing the Příhoda North America logo — simple, elegant, and highly visible from across the hall.

The open and welcoming design allowed visitors to focus on what truly matters: textile ducting solutions in multiple variations. From clean, technical designs to more visually expressive patterns, the display demonstrated that HVAC systems today can be more than functional necessities — they can also become architectural features within a space.

A highlight of the booth was OMNI-TEX™, a specialized air diffuser developed specifically for the U.S. market. Designed for uniform 360-degree air distribution, OMNI-TEX™ offers a practical and cost-effective alternative in applications where traditional ducting and diffusers are limited by space or budget constraints. The interest it generated was tangible, with detailed discussions focused on real-world projects and applications.

Behind the booth’s presence is more than design. Prihoda operates in North America through its exclusive partner, Prihoda North America, providing strong local support, service, and long-term collaboration — something that clearly resonated with customers during the show.

The U.S. Market Is Strategic for Us

Representing Příhoda at AHR Expo was CMO Lukáš Halamka, who emphasized the strategic importance of the American market:

“USA are long-term one of our most successful markets, so participation in AHR Expo in Las Vegas is strategically very important for us. Especially considering that we operate a production facility in Mexico, which we need to keep at a high capacity utilization. The American market is therefore crucial for us not only commercially, but also from a manufacturing perspective.

According to Halamka, AHR Expo remains the place where virtually everyone in the industry gathers each year:

“Once again, the show was very well attended and maintained a high professional standard. We met many of our existing partners, which is always a great opportunity to strengthen relationships in person. At the same time, we gained new contacts and interesting inquiries — not only from the U.S., but also from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America.”

One of the tangible outcomes of this year’s Expo is an inquiry related to warehouse facilities for SpaceX.

“From a business perspective, I left Las Vegas satisfied.”

Beyond the Show Floor

And what about Las Vegas itself?

“Vegas offers plenty of experiences beyond work. There’s a casino in practically every hotel — and it’s hard to avoid them… but I resisted,” Halamka says with a smile. “Instead of the roulette table, I chose an NHL game between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Vancouver Canucks, where I had the chance to see several Czech national team players just before the Winter Olympics. That was a safe bet.

The visit was intense — but successful, both professionally and personally.

From Hlinsko to Las Vegas is thousands of miles. Yet for Prihoda, it has become a familiar route. AHR Expo once again confirmed that the company holds a solid position in the global HVAC market — and that innovation can grow anywhere, even far from the world’s largest metropolitan hubs.

The world is closer than it seems.
